Box of Dread October 2017

Price $14 (1 Month) | $13 (3 Months) | Shipping $6

From the folks at horror news site Dread Central is their horror-themed subscription box, Box of Dread. Box of Dread is a lower-priced box with two different options. You can choose either $14 for 1 month or a 3 month plan for $13 a month and the shipping is $6. Every month they choose a “7th Box” at random worth over $200 in horror items. Each month usually has a general theme, this one being “Friday the 13th” and it’s also curated by actress Kristina Klebe.

Box of Dread arrived in a medium sized brown box, inside of which is their awesome-looking black box featuring a large print of their logo.

September’s “Back to School” Box of Dread included a Carrie POP! figure, Gerald’s Game poster, All Cheerleaders Die DVD, Tales of Halloween Trading Cards, Friday the 13th Pen, Funko Mystery Figure & POP! Keychain.

Ice Cube Trays

You can put Jason on ice with this awesome cube tray in the shape of his hockey mask.

Bottle Opener

High quality, heavyweight metal bottle opener featuring Jason Voorhees.

Comic

Volume 1 of the horror comic Twilight Hotel from Square Biz comics.

DVD

Letter

A letter from this month’s Box curator, actress Kristina Klebe explaining this month’s included items.

With the poster, the ice cube tray, cookie cutters and the bottle opener i’d say this month’s box nailed the theme of Friday the 13th. The bonus DVD and comic help seal the deal and make for an all-around solid box for October.
