Box of Dread September 2017

Price $14 (1 Month) | $13 (3 Months) | Shipping $6

From the folks at horror news site Dread Central is their horror-themed subscription box, Box of Dread. Box of Dread is a lower-priced box with two different options. You can choose either $14 for 1 month or a 3 month plan for $13 a month and the shipping is $6. Every month they choose a “7th Box” at random worth over $200 in horror items. Each month usually has a general theme, this one being “Back to School” and it’s also curated by director Lucky McKee.

Box of Dread arrived in a medium sized brown box, inside of which I was surprised to see their all-new awesome-looking black box featuring their logo.

Because of the hurricane and numerous other issues we couldn’t review August’s Box but July’s Box of Dread included a Howling comic, Day of Reckoning DVD, Buffy Vinyl, Shudder code, stickers and more.

Vinyl Figure

Part of the Funko Pop! Movies line, it’s a vinyl figure of the star of Carrie herself… Carrie! Covered in blood from the prom, this will look pretty cool on the shelf.

This month’s “Back to School” box featured an interesting mix of items curated by director Lucky McKee with the very bloody Carrie Pop!, the DVD, the poster and other fun inclusions.
